Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints??

Bourbon St. was as intense as Mardi Gras last night as the Saints won their first Superbowl in franchise history.

With the Superbowl, comes Superbowl commercials. I hoped I would never have to go to the bathroom last night because I didn't want to miss the game, the commercials, or The Who's halftime show. I took tiny sips of my grape soda.

This year I was a little disappointed in the commercials (my favorite part). Regardless, there were a few really memorable commercials.

1) Google Search
This commercial had the "aww" factor for all of the women in the audience. Google proves that no matter how well known your brand is, or how much money you bring in, a truly great ad can get people talking about you in a positive light. For such a simple concept, the viewer can really feel with the google search-er. The ad reminded me how much I rely on google and how lost we would be without it.

2) Bud Light Voice Box
Easily one of my favorites. While Budweiser is known for their many multi-million dollar Superbowl ads, they are so fun and creative each year to watch for. Bud Light capitalized on T-Pain's popularity and his many comedic stints (ie; "I'm On A Boat" and Taylor Swift's "Thug Story"). Not to mention, his own cameo made for that final laugh at the end of the ad.

3) Motorola: Megan Fox
Of course, Megan Fox appeals to the majority male audience for the big game. Unfortunately, this ad had a bit of the "ghost adverting" effect. Even when I am writing this post now, I had to look up what company this ad was for. This ad scored a lot of laughs, and the males at the Superbowl party I was at quickly shushed everyone when Megan Fox's face came on the screen.

4) Volkswagen: Punch Buggy
Stevie Wonder made this ad. Everyone can relate to playing this car game when there is a VW car around. The commercial had hype before the Superbowl, and I was lucky enough to see a teaser for this commercial beforehand. Tracy Morgan and Stevie Wonder ended the ad with the last laugh.

The few ads that were great really stood out this year. Be sure to check them all out!
